mY CURRENT Work leading strategic clarity 

In my current role as the head of Strategic Clarity, I lead a small team that is charged with advancing the organization's theory of action through purposeful cycles of learning, innovation and strategic planning. This new team is pursuing something different for our context--we are integrating the knowledge development and planning functions for the national organization. 

This is a big deal. It gives the opportunity to get out of the chicken-egg rut of many organizations--how do we act upon our learnings and best insights when our planning cycles are independent of how we acquire new knowledge?  The answer is, of course, it's very very hard to do, and very very inefficient, and very very dangerous to a learning and innovation ethos. 

Over time, this team is aiming to establish a clear and predictable learning architecture for a dynamic and regionalized organization. This will have far-reaching effects for advancing learning and knowledge, but also informing resource allocation within scarce conditions.
